A 1997 graduate of Business Administration from Bayero University Kano, Sambo began his career as an administrative officer at the National Inland Waterways Authority, Lokoja. He moved on to the Securities and Exchange Commission where he was responsible for among other things, monitoring all securities transactions and ensuring compliance with provisions of the Investment and Securities Act. After a spell in public service, Sambo co-founded Bima Consult Investment Ltd, an Investment and Financial Advisory firm.
Sambo has provided Financial Advisories on several projects for the Taraba and Kano State Governments. Notably, he led the team that provided Financial Advisories to the Taraba State Government in the International Fertilizer Development Centre assisted programme for the effective distribution of fertilizer to local farmers through the novel voucher scheme. He was also co-initiator and part of the project management team for the 300,000 metric tonne fully integrated rice mill in Taraba State under the Public Partnership agreement between Dominion Farms Integrated Farms Ltd, T.Y. Danjuma Holdings and the Taraba State Government in establishing the biggest rice farm in Africa. He holds an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He is a successful businessman with interest in many sectors namely Real Estate, Agriculture, Financial Services Etc.
